We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join our team as a QA. The person in this role will have the exciting opportunity to have a significant impact on the Company. We are looking for an experienced and driven engineer to focus on leading testing efforts, building test plans and test cases, and executing them. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience contributing to the quality of large software efforts on Agile teams (and may also have experience with hardware products).
The successful candidate will have a unique blend of technical knowledge and exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. This role includes driving process improvements and establishing new standards. Test automation experience is helpful but not required.
Your Role in the Team:
- Lead functional, black box testing efforts and other types of testing as needed.
- Create or contribute to the creation of verification and validation test plans.
- Responsible for creating detailed test cases for planned changes to verify that the requirements are captured and implemented correctly with the Business Analyst or Product Owner.
- Responsible for verifying that test protocols/test cases are written completely and concisely, and for the creation of test reports, test summaries, trace matrices and other relevant reporting.
- Perform functional, usability, security, network, compatibility and regression testing.
- Works with the development team to identify, analyze and resolve defects.
- Responsible for actively using project-related tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Matrix Requirements, test case management systems, source control systems, and related technologies.
- Responsible for working as a member of an Agile Scrum team delivering high quality software in two week sprints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; CS or engineering focus preferred.
- 2+ years’ software testing experience in a team environment.
- Strong experience with functional, black-box testing.
- Strong knowledge of unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and compatibility testing.
- Experience with automation script creation is a plus.
- Experience with SQL a plus.
- Good communications and documentation skills, including experience in writing SOPs, work instructions, training and other relevant documentation.
- Leadership skills required; ability to prioritize tasks; level of understanding to pace work completion to the needs of the company.
- Experience working with global remote teams preferred.
- Mobile and Cloud testing experience preferred.
- Experience testing Rich media applications, including iOS and Android apps, responsive web sites and mobile sites.
Remuneration:
Seanergy pays higher than the market references. Hence, remuneration is not a constraint for the right candidate.
